Synopsis: Her first thought: "Who are you?"
It's the morning after her cousin's bachelorette party in Vegas and Megan Scott wakes up with the mother of all hangovers. Even worse, she's in a stranger's penthouse having woken up with something else as well - a funny, arrogant, sexy...husband!
Up until now, finding even a boyfriend had seemed impossible - been there, got the broken heart, sworn off men for good. Then a few martinis with Carter...no, Connor Reed and she's gone from first meet to marriage in one night!
Megan wants a lawyer. But Connor's shocking bombshell?
As a kid, fairy tales looked like what I'd like my life to be when I grow up. But now, as an adult, fairy tales doesn't really happen because in reality prince charmings are already taken or you just don't meet them or they just don't exist. This book was a fairy tale for me, well fairy tale for adults.
Megan Scott our heroine is our heroine who already had plans for her life. She plans on having a child through the sperm bank because she thought she'd be like her mom. Someone who won't find her true mate/love/soulmate, because she herself doesn't believe in love. She believes that trusting a man won't bring her anything but heartache and disappointments. Connor Reed on the other hand, is similar to Megan. He was an illegitimate child who had a lot of grudge towards his father, thus, motivating him to create his own company which became a large industry called Reed Industries. They met on a bar and somewhat having this instant physical attraction, not instant love, made them spend the rest of night together. And before they know it, they got married. But the catch was Connor remembers everything, Megan, just bits and pieces. The first thought Megan had, the morning after and sober, they need a lawyer and they had to nullify their wedding, but Connor doesn't want divorce. He said that they were a match and they both have something that would make their partnership, not marriage, a success. They both don't believe in love.
This was the first time I had mixed feelings towards a book. Well, it was kind of predictable that they'll live in one roof, one of them will realize that he/she is falling for the other and so on. But what made me like this was Megan wasn't like other protagonist. She didn't clung on to Connor and before she made herself look stupid she made the first move and left. She just said she love him then left, because that was the deal breaker, they can't fall in love. Connor here was a big jerk. He never wanted love because he thought it would only bring complications, but he didn't realize that upon convincing Megan to try their marriage, he already faced every complications a normal couple would experience.
What made me confused with this book and somewhat didn't like about this was the lack of back story. Megan doesn't remember whatever she told Connor to make him like her, it would be better if there was some flash backs or whatever to show what happened before the morning of their first day of married life. I was looking forward to it towards the end and I was disappointed that it was already the end.
All in all, this was a nice read. It was cheesy, and the story line wasn't really new, but it was enjoyable. Spent my morning reading this and no regrets. Like I said earlier, mixed feelings. :)

Sounds like a funny book to read. I still believe in fairytale in some ways :)
