During a party at his apartment, Krit’s new neighbor comes to the door with her long brown hair pulled up in a messy knot and a pair of glasses perched on her cute little nose. She wants him to turn down the music, but he convinces her to stay.

Krit Corbin may have just found his biggest addiction yet. And Blythe Denton realizes too late that she’s finally been claimed.



After getting to know Krit in Misbehaving I knew he deserved a love story on his own and Abbi Glines didn’t disappoint, she even exceeded expectations. I started reading the Sea Breeze series 2 years ago and I have never fell in love with any characters, until Krit.

Krit was the boy your mother told you to stay away from. He had it all, tattoos, piercings, music and girls. A LOT of girls. But behind his façade of a rocker bad boy is a possessive and protective man who had experienced heartbreak before. For him girls just come and go, and cuddling after sex only gave issues. But all that was before he met quiet, sweet, innocent and naïve Blythe Denton. She has come to Sea Breeze to attend college and to change her life. Away from her foster family’s strict and abusive upbringing and their church’s judgmental minds who made her feel dirty and evil. All it took was seeing Blythe twirl and dance inside her apartment, which was a floor below Krit’s loft, and he was captivated. She was his “tiny dancer”
I admired Blythe in this book. I grew up in a family that were hardcore church people, my parent’s were strict and religious values are important everytime, everywhere. But seeing Blythe grew not just on a religious household but also on an abusive one, she’s bound to have a lot of issues. She was an orphan, she was verbally abused by her stepmom and in addition to that the whole congregation looked down on her. But despite everything that was thrown on her she never rebel nor gave up, instead she looked forward to the time she can be free to live her life. She had that chance when she moved to Sea Breeze and along that chance she was surprised by destiny by meeting this stunning blue-eyed rocker. I never saw it as a case of instant love, instead, Krit was just drawn to her. Why? Because unlike their groupies, Blythe never threw herself to him. Unlike all the other girls he had met, she never expected anything, Krit said they were friends and Blythe just accepted it just like that, no questions asked. The thought of love never crossed his mind and he thought Blythe was just his safe place, somewhere he could be himself. But we know this to were bound to fall in love, right?

So far, this was my favorite book in the series. Maybe after reading a lot of contemporary novels I got tired of the same cliché happening in every story, but this was a refreshing take on a contemporary/new adult novel. Yes both characters had issues, but the story wasn’t centered there. I liked that despite Blythe’s issues, she strived on her own to speak for herself and change for herself. She didn’t change for the man she loves, she changed because she discovered she can be loved and she can love. On the other hand, Krit showed maturity and was man enough to shove his fears aside and show everyone that he’s not that bad-ass after all. He was also a man who melts down when the woman he loves leaves him. Their story showed us that nobody knows our true self except for us and it’s up to yourself if you’re gonna own it or if you’ll let others put you down for something you know you’re not.

If you’ve read Abbi Glines work then I don’t think I have to tell you to get this, but if you haven’t, it’s not too late! It won’t even take your whole week to finish the whole series.
